I have two sites that I manage with very little traffic, one is a portfolio site the other mostly a bunch of articles and eventually a blog. I've been with Mavenhosting for the last year and have a basic plan PHP etc. but I'm really not happy with their cPanel which I find unintuitive and difficult to use. They are good at answering questions quickly but I find them condescending and they never really give the full answer. Is this the norm? I realise my questions are sometimes not the brightest but I am learning and would love to be hosted by someone with a bit of patience or at least and interface that doesn't require me to be a web guru just to use it.

My sites are pretty heavy on the graphics and it takes years to update them.

My problem is that I live in France but my clients (all two of them ) are in the UK and Canada. I would much rather deal with a UK host in terms of customer service especially as most of the technical jargon I know is in English. Any recommendations?

The problem you will find is that cpanel is a lot better than many alternatives, which is why its the most popular around. We do however have a ton of tutorial videos should you need help with it and can easily talk you through anything you get stuck on...
