Hi guys, back again for what I hope won't be silly question. I've had a look around and can't really get a definitive answer...

I have written 6 key word rich and relevant articles that actually offer some insight and Benefit to the reader about my sector all to do with the kw I am hoping to rank.

I will Put in squidoo, ezine etc... My question fOr seo benefit is :

A, do I just put one article in each location wth an anchored backlink to my site...

Or

B, submit each article to more than one place? I am thinking this is clearly duplicate content and the SE won't like it.

Also can I use the articles on my blog? Or should I write whew ones for there also?

Thank you,

Dave

upload the article to 1 place, spin it and change it so its about the same subject but not the same content and upload it elsewhere. rinse and repeat over and over...

and then put different content on your own blog

if you can also link to other reputable sources like wikipedia in the article as well as your own website that will help I have found.

Ste, thanks very much for your help... I am uploading them this week. I have a few questions if ok:

1, Is it important to have articles on my site?

2, should i stagger the distribution of my best articles to squidoo, ezine etc..( call them teir 1 say ) over a month or can i upload them all at the same time?

3, I notice, (when sneaking around google trying to work out what the people have done to get above me ) that people have articles on their site that their other online articles point at. Rather than their home page or a page on their main site. Should I do this for the best SEO results?

4, For teir 2 articles, i am resistant to spin or rinse the articles unless its really important to do so. I know its more work but i intend to make the articles about my business relavent and hopefully of benfit to some one. SHould I point these at teir 1 or to my site itself - to get the best results in terms of SEO and SERPS.

5, do I link these teir one articles together and point each at the site? Or do I link them all together and point one at my site?

Sorry for all the questions I think i am getting there. The more you learn the less you realise you know!

Cheers,

D

If you want my advice, don't bother. Filling up already bloated article banks with keyword stuffed, span articles in vein the hope of getting a no-follow backlink isn't SEO, it's SEM (search engine manipulation) and a complete waste of time. Yes, you probably will get a slight boost for those keyword terms but it will only be temporary. You'll end up in downward spiral having to do it again and again and again to keep any benefits you've gained until the point comes where you simply can't produce any more article content (usually people turn to paid backlinks at that point).

All these kind of grey hat tactics may have worked back in the late 90's but are extremely dated now. If you really want to improve your SEO, forget articles and backlinks. Read this and then start trying to connect to your customers/readers/visitors through Social Media.

^^^ This.
In order to be any good to you, the articles would have to be very well written and original.
No offence but if you were writing stuff like this well enough for it to help your SEO then you'd be better off being a journalist.

I'm not following, google panda loves content, it looks at the relevance of links not just the anchor, doesn't like reciprocal links, or infact bought links.

Is it pretense that fuels people's seo advice all over the web? And consequently that pretense that looks down on anyone trying to get ahead? In point of fact isn't any seo cooking the books and manipulating google?

There is a constant theme about writing unique content that people will want to link to. A superior tone and condescension of any technique at all.

Well here's the thing, how much unique and compeling content can you actually write about drain unblocking services in Bradford or florists in Whitby? And how exactly are their websites, which all are flawed in terms of content and code, be up in the SERPS, ad generating them business?

Refer to my previous post, I'm trying to add benefit in my articles, but essentially the primary motivation is gains in the SE. So no I'm not going to become a journalist, or gain much of a natural following for my business due to the fact it's not glamorous or even interesting.

I'm not trying to be evil, or sell Viagra, I am just trying ethically get my site up in the rankings do I get more customers and build my business.

Check out article syndication, it's much more effective than "article marketing".

Distribute your articles (don't bother with spinning ect) to article directories and look for websites/blogs
in your niche, build a relationship and try and get them to run your article.

Is realy NOT a good idea to spin your articles over and over again. If you don't find some nice website where to put your articles as a Guest Post, then select the most reputable article site's like squidoo, hubs, etc ..and post them there...The articles from your website must be different than those you put'it in the article directories.
