Hi,

I came across this funky little extension that enables you to download videos and other embedded objects straight to your computer, rather than having to stream them all the time.

You will need Firefox browser in order to use it.

Cool! I thought so too! All that exclusive content that before this extension came along you wish you could just save...well now you can, This is personally one of my fav's along with the Web Developer Toolbar.

I agree! I love firefox for that, It's so cool to be able to customise the browser like that. You should get a mac and then you could play with dashboard widget as well as FF extension B)

I've got the video downloader extension - it's great! I'd never heard of Firebug though - so thatnks for the link to that - that also looks really useful!

Isn't downloading from YouTube illegal? Since it is based in the United States, sharing of copyrighted materials such as tv show episodes violates the US laws.

Download helper is a Firefox extension to help in downloading media files from the Web. In particular, it is able to store on your disk movie files for which the web site does not provide a "Save File" feature. In addition, DownloadHelper can download, in 3 user clicks, all the image and video files linked from a Web page.

Hope it works for you.

Firebug does take a little getting used to but once you've had a good play with it, you'll wonder how you ever survived without it.

Here's another list of really Firefox Web Developer Plugins that we use almost every day.

Hey, :blush1:
If you download video from youtube and facebook, etc. try Convert-tune. Convert-tune
It works good for me. I download video from different websites and Convert-tune works very well.
It converts video to WMV and AVI, and other formats. And it converts audio also to
WMA, WAV, MP3, etc. There is an option I like, 'surf and catch video'. :yahoo:
