Hi Guys
A client of mine has bought an ecommerce package from ekm, but it does not rank well in Google. They bought their domain name that relates to the name of their company and not the nature of their business. If i get them a domain name with their keywords in it and build them another site that redirects to their main site, would it get penalised by google. Also would the new site get index for its content or would Google's robots miss it because it has a redirection on it. Hope this makes sense.

Changing the domain is one step too far. As long as they have a good URL structure the keywords will be in their URLs. Time is probably better spent link building.

If you got another domain name are redirected it correctly then depending on how you did it that domain name wouldn't show in Google at all, so it wouldn't help.
