Hi

I'm creating a google merchant feed for my client.

As you know you have to be have your feed spot on or your data will be removed.

I'm struggling to get the feed to pass.

The feed is for Steiff teddybear products.

The error I'm getting is 'ID' for the ID I've used bear001,002,003 etc but it won't accept it.

NO idea what else I can put there, its not the product code as that has been accepted.

Any help appreciated!

Are you ID's for each product unique?

The easiest way is to use your primary key from products field.OTher than that, may be worth posting a sample of your feed.

Yes all unique products codes.

The feed is working but it is showing errors on the ID but said the products will still show.

Is annoying because the product ID I've used is unique per item and unique to my client.

Can you post the full error message you're getting, as it sounds weird?

Also, what feed format are you using? I always use XML now. In the past when using othewr methods like csv my feeds wouldn't validate due to encoding errors and extra spaces.

im using .txt in excel, so all the spaces are correct.

This is the message:

Item Warnings - 12 items with warnings 12 items affected

12 Missing recommended attribute: product type (12 warnings)

While items missing recommended attributes will process successfully, we recommend including relevant attributes if they are available.

Examples:

Item ID Line Nr.
40814400001 2
40814400002 3
40814400004 5
40814400007 8
40771100021 9

The item id's seen here are unique, I don't see why they are not being accepted.

Google accepts every other item attribute, there are only 12 items listed so far, so all ID's it doesn't like.
