For my site http://www.submitbannerusa.com i did have 104 results in google by typing in site:submitbannerusa.com is it normal for the results to now drop back down to 100 results?, guess what im asking is , is this normal behavior for search engine indexing, could it just be removing pages from there index thats no longer on my site? which there are a few.. thanks in advance.

Is it page age related?
try giving the pages that have been dropped a quick re-write then resubmit the sitemap

Yes, if you had some old pages indexed the google may have attempted to crawl these recently and having not found them after a few crawl attempts subsequently removed them.
Do you not have google webmaster tools installed? Could probably find the answer there...
