Stupid question as I've not done much Google Analytics but can I have 1 google account say my pandadoodle one and then have sub accounts so Analytics can monitor as many sites as i like or not?

Yup. You can monitor as many sites as you like from one account or have as many accounts as you like monitoring one site, but you can't transfer sites between accounts and keep their data intact, so best to set them up under the owner's account if they're client sites.

Sure, you can maintain as many accounts possible within one account and also create profiles under one particular website.
Suppose you have site A and also have a FB page that you want to monitor and also a subdomain under A
then ideally you can create one account and make profiles under it.
