Hi,

I'm trying to setup a shopping cart discount code in Magento. However, I need this code to be useable only on a single, specific product.

I've followed a few guides, but must be missing something because I don't have a list of criteria in the conditions tab.

I have done the following in the conditions tab:

  • Click green plus
  • "If an item is FOUND in the cart with ALL of these conditions true:" is displayed on next line
  • At this stage the dropdown only gives me options to limit the discount to partocular categories or attribute groups - all the guides I've read say there is an option to choose one or many individual SKUs

I must be missing something - can anyone help?

E.g. am looking at a guide from magento site:

I don't have the option to set an SKU at all :(

Woohoo solved it myself after lots of looking around the Magento admin area!

In case anyone wants to know:

  • Go to catalogue > attributes > manage attributes
  • Choose the attribute you want to edit (In my case, it was SKU)
  • In the frontend properties box there is an option titled "Use for Promo Rule Conditions" - I set this to "Yes"
The attribute, "SKU" now appears in the drop down list when I'm setting rules for the discount, in the the shopping cart price rules.

Chuffed I got it to work, as the Magento admin area usually hates me :)

For the record, the amount of control you have to set pricing rules is absolutely insane - I quite impressed how intuitive they've made it with a sprinkle of JavaScript.
