lately, iv'e been using the services of more and more American hosting co. since they're a lot cheaper and give great service.. what do you think?

hosting in the US what do u feel about hosting overseas?

Almost all of the US based hosts are cheaper, often because bandwidth in the US costs peanuts, plus you have the currency conversion on your side too, but it depends on who your target audience are. If your website is aimed at the U.S then great, but if it isnt, then it will cost you more than you saved on the hosting, in lost traffic/business...
Plus, look at the difference in what they "offer" and what you can actually realistically use, and I do mean "Realistically"....
Loads sell "unlimited allsorts" but then hide the figures in the small print, or not on the website at all, with many, only admitting to 1% resource allowances after vitually forcing the information out of them via chat or having to ask repeatedly...
So, its ok, just so long as you know what you are really subscribing to, and your website is targeting US visitors :-)

Be aware that currency conversion rates will fluctuate.
One of my clients has always had a reseller account in the states and paid via the UK. Unfortunately due to conversions he's paying $17 where this time last year it was $9
