Hi

I am pretty new to website design and need some advice regarding the legal stuff that may be required.

Basically I need to know which (if any) of the following are legally required on a website in the UK:

  • Privacy Policy
  • Terms and Conditions
  • ..any others?

I appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks!

He is researching by asking us, just a lazy route.

Anyway, newbie - yes you need t&c, private policy, best to have a web development contract with your clients, too stating what you will do, what copyright you own and what client needs to do, with payment schedules etc.

Also, always write your own t&c and don't generate them, I've had clients bite me on the butt and get away with things because my t&c weren't right and always point your client to them!
