Not sure if this would be of any interest to anyone but I'm looking to sell the following PC.

Intel Core i5 661 3.33GHz Processor
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 Motherboard
4GB OCZ Platinum DDR3 Ram
1TB Samsung F3 Hard Drive
SATA DVDRW
nVidia 512MB 8800GT Graphics Card
Brand New Coolermaster CM690 II Case
Brand New Corsair PSU

Has been running as a hackintosh but obviously also works great with Windows 7 as well.

Looking for £400

Can you post, or does it need to be picked up?

It hasn't made it on to eBay yet as I haven't had time to get the photo's sorted.

Hi mate, I could possibly be very interested in the new price. Do you mind sending me a picture of your G card as I'm pretty sure I have the same card and if it is then i know I can run the 2 cards SLI.

Also if you could just send me a pic of inside the case that would be awesome.

Plus where do you live for pickup or do you know much delivery would be?

Thanks,

Josh

Hi Josh,

Can try and get pictures sorted tonight, no problem. The graphics card is an XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog Edition like the one pictured below. I do have the retail box for the graphics card if needed.

I live in Lancashire so may be a bit far from Bristol but delivery wise I've been quoted £10-£15 and if posting I'll cover the added insurance cost.

Nice one, looks good should be able to run that on SLI, I will get back to you a bit later on as i will have to try and dispose of my old machine! :)

If you could send over some pictures that would be fantastic just so i can get an idea of what it looks like.

Nice one, Ok I shall PM you my email address now.

My Current machine is not alot different to be honest with you.

Spec:

Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.8GHZ per core. Overclockable (With bigger and better heatsink, can't remember the name)
Asus p5QC - Motherboard
4GB DD3 RAM (Mobo supports DDR2 and DDR3)
2 x 500GB SATA drives
Nvidia Geforce 8800GT (My motherboard does not run SLI so was going to attempt to use that on yours)
Cooler Master Wave Master TAC-T01 - Case

I want to start gaming on the PC again and i think the I5 would be better for that as well as having the option to use SLI. Let me know what ou think or am i being stupid getting rid of it.

Thanks,

Josh

It's probably a bit more than I'm looking for to be honest and to be fair, you'd probably be able to get close to my asking price for that machine. (I know the Q6600's go for about £60-£70 alone if it's the right version).

I definitely think the Core i5 would be better for gaming (it's a much better motherboard for one) but it may be best for someone without a vested interest to comment :)

Ok no worries, are you looking for something to use while you are waiting to upgrade to a new machine?

Nice one thank you :)

Yeah and no. I would like to keep a Windows PC in the office for both testing purposes and just in case we end up needing a 3rd computer for anything, but for those purposes a Q6600 would be too much money stuck in a computer if you get me. I was thinking of something like a low end AMD or Intel Dual Core (would even consider something Atom based).

I've got this pc to shift and a brand new i5 2500k system so that I can make way for my iMac lol.

Pictures of the PC below, however, the watercooler in the picture isn't included so I'll include the stock Intel Heatsink.

I've actually decided if it doesn't sell here, I'll keep it and upgrade the cpu to a quad core :)
