The role:
On a day to day basis you will be programming templates and interfaces using JQuery/HTML/CSS with Pylons/Python and Mako templating (experience of Pylons/Python/Mako is desirable but not necessary). With sufficient experience, you will be helping us innovate and develop the code base we all share, the tools we use and expanding what we can do for our clients with our Content Management System and our Art Gallery Management System. You will also assist us with research, database migrations and other matters requiring programming skills and knowledge.
Desired Experience:
- HTML/HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JSON, AJAX. You will need a detailed working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScripting and working with JQuery.
- You will need knowledge of, and some an interest in, open-source technologies.
- An object-oriented language, e.g. Python, Java, PHP or Ruby, etc. We use Python, however experience is not required as it is easy to learn if you know other languages.
- Experience with Unix platforms, MySQL and other relational databases would be very attractive.

- Source control: Subversion, Trac
- Shell scripting

Location:
Clapham Old Town (near Clapham Common underground), London. Candidates must be available for interview and able to work locally - no remote employment.
Salary:
£25,000 for a Junior Web Developer; £28,000-£35,000 for Mid-Range Web Developer; based on experience.
