The most important aspect to SEO is having relevant content on your website. Think about the important key words or phrases for each page as you are writing the content.
Good inbound links will follow good content. Make sure your content is regularly updated.

Of course having a good meta title tag is also important, but don't go overboard in stuffing it full of keywords. Include the top keyword - or two - in the title, ensuring it forms a short statement rather than a list of words. Don't forget to make sure that the title and description tags are different for each page.
