I have a Desire HD. Haven't rooted it yet (haven't felt the need to) but I've done a couple of iPhones and my other half's Legend.

Same here, Desire HD and i actually can't see any benefit I'd gain from rooting it.

I'd quite like to root my wildfire s (2.3.3) but gingerbreak.apk has failed miserably so far; presume there's been a patch somewhere?
Wouldn't normally be bothered but I'd like to use ssh and take screenshots if poss.
Not having 'root' seems wrong to me :)

I installed CM7 yesterday upgraded my phone from 2.2.1 to 2.3.3 also like the customiseablity.
You do know you can root just to change fonts, etc?

I have Jailbroken several iPhones/iPods but not an Android Handset yet.

Might convince my brother to let me have a go at his Galaxy S =P

Done my iPod Touch once. Didn't actually find anything that I could bear to be without so I went back.

It's a cracking handset. Lemme doublecheck something with you - have you noticed a drop in wifi range/sensitivity since Gingerbread?
