I've made this web design today on photoshop, I like it, but I don't like that there are just solid colours, no detail or anything if you know what I mean, I want to fill it up a bit more, maybe add a texture or something else but I'm not sure what. I want to try and make some of the bits of the website stand out more, like the header, and the content box, but I don't know any good techniques like that...

Any replies are appreciated, thanks in advance

Maybe try a gradient where the lighter green fades into the darker one?

That would be my first suggestion too.

I would suggest, if you are going for this colour-blocking style, you should remove the dropshadow/border that is around the main navigation. Also, how are you handling the mouseover on the navigational links? That could be pretty important, too.

Also, I think it actually might be better to have the header in the dark grey instead of in the same green colour as the body.

Otherwise I think it's a nice, interesting design :)

It's interesting for sure, not too sure how that green will be on larger resolutions, that's a lot of a strong colour.

Having a plain background instead of your URL repeated would be a good start ;)

Isn't that just a temporary watermark to prevent the design being used elsewhere?

For me personally, the green used on the background is way too bright. I would recommend trying other color schemes.

Well as I suppose it is looking nice and is very simple and elegant..But if you want to add texture you can add it a little..The colors you had use is also cool and vibrant..

Nice design agree on the comments about the brightness of the gree, perhaps adding a texture would help calm it down a touch whilst still retaining the impact I think you are aiming for..
