Hi

Im in the process of starting my own business which is to do with fitness. Anyhow without going into the ins and outs, i noticed a lot of folks within my field are using Wordpress????. I need it so i can upload pictures and some promo videos if possible but other than that i just need a contact section, About Us and general standard extras that appears on websites (sorry not all that good at this). I do need to be able to update daily workouts on the front page so i certainly need to be able to customise it. Lastly i would need some form of header on the front page and the main name of the business. At a later date i would need to put a few links on the site with a link to something called the crossfit journal which is an absolute must with what i am doing. Not a great deal more i can say at this point so i apoligise for being hazy.

I guess at this point im really looking at what sort of prices should i be looking to pay for such a site and a little advice?
Heres a few examples of fellow folks in my feld and there sites..

Thanks in advance

Hey good start asking advice... I've sent a PM as well, you are in the wrong forum room currently as this is looking to hire section (usually for those who already have a budget and timesacle)... but no problem I'll help you out!

Cheers Martin

I'm familiar with crossfit (I try to do a couple of WODs a week) so I'd be perfect for this kind of job, unfortunately I'm really busy until 2nd December :(

I've seen a few crossfit sites that use Wordpress, its not exactly what wordpress is designed for but it seems to work ok for posting WODs. The main crossfit site uses Drupal, so thats something you might want to look into. A price for a wordpress site varies enormously, its free/open source so technically they shouldn't charge you for the script, only the installation and customisation. I'd say out of the box you wouldnt need much customisation, there is probably a free gallery plugin and contact form plugin, etc.
