Anybody in this room can explain exactly about backlink. Is baclink for gain the google PR, alexa rank or backlink can help us for SERP ? which more exactly ? (some people still confused about this matter. )

for someone who suggests their area of expertise is 'SEO' this seems quite a basic question.

sure this is basic question and basic knowledge for you but please review my question above I write (some people still confused about this matter. ) . For newbie maybe they still confused about backlink that's why I try to share for them.

Yes by creating back links for a particular website can help in improving its page rank as well as alexa rank also.Basically these two thing are achieved by the maximum hits to the websites which can be done by placing backlinks to the high PR forums and dofollow also to get better results.
