Always ranked and links are constantly changing, also reducedthe number of pages, this is why?

From what I understood his Google search ranking has gone down? And the amount of pages of his site in Google's index has gone down.... I think...

Well, if it's the case that Google is reducing the number of pages within it's index, for your site, the site must have some pretty serious SEO issues.
