Hi

I was wondering whether I need meta tags on all my pages, or is having it on my main page enough?

Any advantage to having it on all my pages?

Thanks for your help!

I think you have write meta tag in every pages you have for better SEO, but make sure no duplicate meta tag, no duplicate keyword and make sure your page is relevance with your meta tag.

Include a meta description on every page you want people to find as it's the little description below the title in the search results which is important for click through conversions.

Always include a title and description on every page. Ignore keywords, it's not useful any more.

How come keywords aren't useful any more if you don't mind me asking?

Probably they took away the recognition because people caned them. Similar to what people do now with cheap "SEO" techniques.

Because people spammed the buggery out of that tag, search engines decided it was no use anymore, got smarter and came up with new ways to rank sites.

It's a similar idea to what is happening to h1 tags now too.

If you want to promote your site on major search engines, please add meta tags on every page of your site......

That's right, but make sure the keywords you wish to be found for are now in the title and description instead.
