Hi,
I have created a few wp sites as a learning experience. The sites are mainly for my friends and family but one of my sites was for a client of mind, they liked the site and wanted to use it, which was fine. But I had to sort out the move of the site to a new domain which is where I have come unstuck and I think i have lost the site I created? basically im having a nightmare and im in need of expert help.
Im looking for someone in the UK who speaks English and that I can talk them through the process within my hosting company. Not sure how much time it would take someone so im unsure of the costs involved.

As you can imagine I need this looking at ASAP.

Many Thanks

Before you move it you need to do a back up the WordPress database and and files that you have changed such as the index.php, header.php, footer.php .css files, etc. Then it's just a matter of reinstalling WordPress to your new domain and updating the files.

Another way would to contact your hosting provider and they will do it for you but there will probably be a small charge.

OliverB covers most of what you really have to do.

Of course, if you need a bit more help, just chuck me a PM, I'll see if I can get you going in the right direction :)

Good luck!

Matt
