Can anyone who's using this service tell me if they think it'd worth the money. My company supplies services (mortgage advice) - do you think I would benefit from an account with these guys?

I use them and can wholeheartedly recommended them. At $99 a month, use them for 3-6 months and by then your site should well optimised and performing for you.

Be involved with their Q&A section and make sure you view past webinars, - I certainly see it as a good investment.

I've been thinking of it also, it's a pretty large outlay but can pretty much for it's self if you get one job through it.

They have got a large amount of tools on offer but if I was to say what I got out of it the most then I'd say the crawler does a great job helping you with initial on-site SEO. It gives you warnings and errors after analysing your tags etc.

Then it would be probably be the work the staff do that I really get a lot of. The webinars have been very informative and helped me, & then the Q&A forum. You know when you're asking questions in the Q&A forum that you're dealing with other people with a serious interest in SEO. Followed by tools like linkscape, keyword difficulty analyser and their on-page grading tool.

Personally I think $1200 per year is unnecessary. There isn't anything you can't get elsewhere on there. I looked into this a while back and had some conversations with a guy who works for SeoMoz and given what I already knew, the forums I was involved in and the tools I already had, he acknowledged that it might not provide me with additional value.

I would also consider (not telling you this is the right road for you, but it works for me) buying something like SEO Powersuite, WebCEO or IBP. They offer a good selection of tools to help you make sensible decisions about your site's SEO. Being an active member of a well respected forum will also yield good knowledge and lest we not underestimate some of the gurus on youtube.

I may yet join SeoMoz someday just to see what they're like in reality but for now I favour this alternative route which has cost me $500 in comparison.

Just my opinion, use it as you will :)

Well I signed up for the free trial and it does have some useful elements but I doubt i'll not cancel before the trial is up as so far its not really told me anything I didn't know but it did highlight a couple of things I missed.

That said I haven't delved into the webinars yet which are supposed to be v good.

You know if you are not too good with on page SEO then there are free tools that can help you with this, such as woorank and pear analytics!

I use seoMoz. Yes, there are other tools that individually do a similar job. However, I think there is a lot of value in having everything under one roof. Keeping track of 7/8 different tools would do my absolute nut in, especially as SEO is something I do on the side rather than full time.

Plus, they have a forum full of SEO experts who can answer any question you have. They also run online webinars where you can learn more about SEO.

So it's not just a couple of tools, it's more like 10/11 different tools, plus a forum full of experts, plus learning resources, tutorials, books, webinars, pdfs. It's a huge resource.

Frankly, £50 a month is not exactly a huge amount. It's well worth it for all the tools, help and the general service as a whole.

I think using the services of others to optimize a site is an act of people who are frustrated hahahahaha... (just kidding bro..)
well.. not wrong if you do that but as long as you can do it yourself why don't you try and try. Now you and me in the right forum that contains the SEO experts. here we learn and share about SEO together..:D
