I would just like to say how happy I am with the service I've received from these guys. I'm no way associated or linked with them, before anybody thinks this is a free plug by a staff member.

People are always too fast to complain about poor or inadequate service, so I thought it would be nice to shout about something good.

I'm in the middle of transferring my second website to them from a previous host Phurix after unreliable e-mail connections. Edward and Kieran from Freethought must spend their entire days waiting and manning the sales or tech support. I always get a response within a couple of minutes, with the odd exception, but never more than 30 minutes. No down time so far, no issues with multiple connections to my imap accounts. I did have one issue with an overly sensetive firewall blocking me out due to so many requests but this is expected and was resolved by adding to the whitelist within 10 minutes via support ticket.

For anybody looking for good quality hosting, with really good support, [snip]
I'm on a shared hosting package at the moment. Never had any issues with sluggishness. I can see the demand on the system via Cpanel so can see it's always ticking over nicely. The only time the CPU usage went up was my own fault with a rogue wordpress plugin, but a ticket and a few minutes later after they looked through log files narrowed down the issue and all was back to normal in no time.

So whats with the affiliate link?
Have you checked your website code, as were seeing non-cached pages loading fairly slowly on 50mbps cable, some up to 10+ seconds, from several different locations, not just 1 place.

I love that you take the time to explain that your not associated with this company then bang out an affiliate link. Trust me, your never going to make any money sharing affiliate links to a web host.

I'll take the link out, they're still honestly nothing to do with me. Just wanted to praise some good service!

The site does take a while to load. I think it's where each post is pulling it's own data from the social feeds, but I've not worked out how to solve it yet. it's only running on wordpress so I've not had a go at modifying plugins yet. Thank you for pointing it out

I can't edit the original post. It's the link I have saved in my favourite bar, but I've clearly caused offence to some of you so I apologise.
If a mod would like to remove it then feel free.

They may not be anything to do with you, but the purpose of your post is to get someone to click the affiliate link - nothing more, nothing less. At least be honest.

The affiliate link was removed yesterday by a mod.
By all means praise a company for their great service but there's no need for the affiliate link.

I just came across this topic after running a google search for Freethought Internet, purely for my own personal interest more than anything else. I work for the aforementioned company, and would just like to make clear that not only were we completely unaware of this post, but we also do NOT run any form of affiliate scheme.

This being the case, I can only assume Marvedia's post was made simply as a kind gesture on account of the support received from us, for which I can only say thankyou, it's much appreciated. I don't personally answer many of our support tickets, but I'm sure Ed and Kieran will be pleased when I pass on your thanks. FWIW, I'm not actually sure if Ed even sleeps (or if he does, it must be on his desk) judging by some of the ridiculous times in the morning he's posting replies to tickets!
