I am trying to build backlinks to my website.

But I have been doing a lot of SEO and whenever I use backlink checkers, the new links do not seem to be found.

How do I make sure my backlinks are found by search engines?

Thanks

If the originating sites are indexed then search engines will eventually find any links between site. Whether or not any search engine actually uses that information is another matter. If certain backlinks don't appear in a tool such as Google Webmaster tools don't lose any sleep, they will probably never expose all the information for your site anyway.

All dofollow backlinks count even if Google webmaster tools chooses not to display them.

If google hasn't found them there's nothing can do to change that.

They might be on nofollow websites, hence not showing up. Or google bots haven't indexed them yet.

Best bet is to sit and wait.
