Yep on several sites. I like it and always have but only for small to large organisations with a good few members of staff. For a single user it's probably a bit overkill.

What aspects of it are you interested in? How many people would you have using it?

We use Google Apps. We got in before they reduced the maximum users to 10 on the free one so we can have upto 50 users/email accounts :)

The main reason I like Google Apps is for IMAP. I know most web hosts support IMAP as well but using Google Apps, you get 7GB per email address so it doesn't waste space on your hosting account....brilliant :)

Let's not forget the awesome ease of use and anti spam tools!

Cheers for the response guys! it'll only be for around 5 users i just find the Gmail interface really good and better than most of the ones that come with your webhost!

So is Gmail free for so many users? then you pay after that. I was looking at the billing part of it but didn't really understand how it works. Also i'm sure Virgin Media use Gmail for the email addresses that they give customers.

Cheers

You can have up to ten users on your G-apps now where it used to be 50.

Any more than ten and you start paying. There's also some advanced options and add-ons missing from the free version but never anything i've really missed.

Yeah, it's free for upto 10 email accounts then you pay after that. Go here: http://www.google.co...roup/index.html

Virgin Media and Sky both use Gmail :)

We spent considerable amount of time working on a good email interface to offer with our hosting but now we just recommend that clients use Google Apps because it's so much better (and the free storage is amazing).

It's totally worth it if you you've got a few members who are going to be using the system. It's pretty damn easy to administer them plus you get the benefit of all of Gmails good stuff.
