Looking for a partner/Sell business

looking to either sell business or bring on board a partner.

Being honest we are a new company recently started have a few clients on board who we offer website design, SEO, monthly maintenance and design & print too.

Our only problem is as we have a good bunch of staff and other overheads at present we have not generated enough sales to cover these overheads and return a profit.

Have tried cold calling, buying leads etc been let down by a few clients too who we didnt take payment up front from.

At a bit of a loose end, looking for someone to even just advise. Ideally wouldnt want to sell its our baby really and would love to see it grow and develop more as there is definetly potential too.

Or if anyone interested to buy the company name, domain, all they would need to do is generate sales and set up an office where they are based. If its in the north west area we are happy to handover staff/ office details etc if anyone interested.

The company name is pretty generic so its possible to really do anything with it.

How old is this company? To be honest, a new company is about an investment for the future - not instant profit. Invest, invest, invest, even if it's a bank loan to bring in the business.

How much have you put into the business? What are your overheads? Web design and development has incredibly low overheads compared to other industries, which should mean more money to plough into advertising.

Are your staff really up to the job? Are you targeting the right potential customers? Does the business have a solid portfolio?

since today we have decided to close down the office and let the staff members go. We are still going to try from home and maybe just freelance this work. This will get our overheads down alot. And take away alot of stress.

Maybe sort your website our too?

My opinion is, unless you have a fantastic list of clients, with a high number of monthly retainers, then this industry isn't somewhere where you can make mega bucks just because you have a few people working for you.

Take the freelance route, build up those clients and contracts, outsource is needs be until you're at a point where you really do need to employ someone.

Sorry to hear you have to close the office though

We are in process tidying up website.

We have decided to trade from home and freelance any work.

I think your best bit is to contact previous clients, offer a new product. Remember this is a business and you need to sell it to them, let them know why the client needs the new product (mobile website, SEO etc.) dress it up however you have to.
