http://backpackit.com/
http://www.freshbooks.com/
http://www.interspire.com/

Just to clarify. Are you hiring for a permanent position or a one off job? There are elements of both in your post.

and, Lightbulb, can you elaborate on point 6. Why if you're wanting just your own site done does someone need to be able to work with your customers?
Indeed, what is your business and current website?

Glowbridge: its an initial project (our site) and if everything works out, we have a need for a 'partner' to work with our customers.
Zed: We have a tight knit team of outsourced 'partners' - who work with us on Jobs, where we are the prime contractor. I'm sorry I don't want to reveal the site or the company name here as I just don't want a pile of inbound in our very busy front office. I'm happy if you want to PM me though (if this board allows that) if you think you can help.
Hope this helps..

I should have added - obviously there is long term work helping us build out out our site and a number of company blogs. Just to be clear on the long term work - we have a solid, active sales pipeline of work from online retailers, who need cart templates and 'static' sites. We'll share more detail with the right candidates.
