ROLE: PHP Developer / Linux Administrator
The role is a PHP Developer, with special emphasis on eCommerce development and ability to work in a Linux shell / LAMP environment.

JSWeb are seeking a PHP Developer who is able to think on his/her feet and focus to meet goals.
JSWeb offers a range of services to hosted and non hosted clients and this role will allow you to gather experience in a variety of areas including UI Development, DB management, Product Innovation, Web Project Analytics, Social Media Development, Mobile App Development, Web Development & Linux Cloud Hosting.
The successful applicant would be required to work on a full or part time basis (Perm or Freelance); and ideally have at least 1 years commercial experience and be keen to develop their skills within the eCommerce website environment.
Job Purpose:
PHP Development to support eCommerce designs, from concept to completion on our core application (Zen Cart eCommerce)
PHP error reporting and problem solving
Reviewing PCI reports to analysis website problems
Analysis and Development of new modules and integration with other 3rd party system API interfaces
Data manipulation for the migration of customer data from other systems.
Monitoring and reporting on the activity of new and existing e-business developments
Perform administration of Centos Linux machines in a large managed hosting environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customers issues in a production environment related to apache and php configuration
Analyse errors and logs
Assists in policing our Acceptable use policies (spam, illegal pornography, warez, eggdrop bots) and escalates issues to the Abuse Team
Trouble-shoot complex application-level problems independently
You need:
Excellent PHP Development Skills
Good MySQL Skills
Proven knowledge of Zen Cart ecommerce and other web solutions
PCI standard awareness
Good HTML/CSS Skills
Ability to innovate and manage multiple projects
Attention to detail and deadlines
Good Business Analysis (willing to listen, understand and capture a clients requirements)
Knowledge of commands/utilities including but not limited to FTP, Apache, SMTP, POP, IMAP, SSH
Familiarity with basic system administration tools and processes
Experience with maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting Centos servers
Working knowledge in mail server applications using SMTP/POP3/IMAP such as Qmail, and/or Sendmail
Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues using traceroutes, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot Hardware firewalls, and VPN.
Solid understanding of DNS Record types, resolution process, troubleshooting.
JSWeb would ideally like in addition to the required skills:
Parallels Hsphere Hosting Control software skills
Social media development experience
Knowledge of Postgresql Database admin
Java skills
Bash shell script programming experience
Work Commitment / Location:
Full Time or Part Time basis (specified days/hours)
Offices are Based in Ireland (Dublin/Meath)/ UK (West Mindlands) or Working from home
o If working from home, you will need:
- Dedicated IP address and reliable Broadband connectivity
- You will be provided with VOIP phone system
Salary is Negotiable, depending upon experience.
