make a seperate style sheet ie.css
just use this code to link it
<!--[if lte IE 6]> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="ie.css" /> <![endif]-->
cheers for the fix, i still cant work in an ie6 enviroment so its gunna be stupidly hard to make the layout work- in ie 6 :/

I quickly looked and the whole design is broken in ie6. The site has also got invalid HTML. I don't really want to dig in what exactly needs doing to make it look great in IE6 if your budget is doesnt meet any realistic expectations.

What is the deadline for the IE6 issues to be solved? I can have a look tonight and try to estimate how long it will take and will do it for £100 but I cant guarentee it is achievable in its current state. You might find that some structure needs adjusting that could affect all browsers.

so does need to be sorted :/
tell them to upgrade their browser as even MS don't want IE6 used any more and there will be very few companies/works that use IE6.

With regards to the IE6 upgrade comments,
I have had the same argument at work, I hate wasting my time for a small percentage of users still using IE6 but from a companys perspective, the costs involved with upgrading even somthing as simple as a web browser can be surprising and might even be out of reach for some.
- Does the OS support it? If not then that is additional cost.
- Will it require exisitng tools, sites and misc to be updated (systems designed to run on IE6 and below)? If not then that is additional cost.
- Will a browser upgrade require outside technical help, i.e. no internal i.t. department? If yes then that is an additional cost.
- etc...
If a website is designed well from the begining, symantic coding, proper use of CSS etc then to be fair IE6 isnt as big an issue as allot of people like to think but it does take experience and preparation.
