It looks like you're having difficulty in being taken seriously elsewhere as well

http://www.urban75.n...p/t-350153.html

And also - "Gr8er" - weird name for a company, sounds like a text message written in a hurry by a kid. This also makes you hard to take seriously.

For a very reasonable fee, I could put you in touch with a copywriter who would alter your language to such that would boost your popularity and get you taken a little more seriously (fee payable up front). You may be the future of the internet, but your branding and your copy definitely need a bit of work.

PM me if you're interested.

At the end of the day I was happy to help out on a per job basis but I guess you hired someone now anyway.

Out in the stratosphere is right. Someone has to do it though. I don't care about my image here. I could lose everything on this venture, get laughed at, get picked on, on the forums (I'm always gonna fight back), and be back at square one, but, good luck trying to keep me down. We have created one of the lowest overhead, highest return models, ever created. We can and will, reach a market 167 million strong and growing. How many people do you know, have disposable income? Over here in America, roughly 15% of our nation has disposable income. About 6 million of our 400 million. And those numbers are for only those that make $100,000+ a year. We need $35,000 to be safe. A kick in the bucket. 7 people/companies for $5,000 each?. I have 5 of the 7 people/companies in discussions now.

Yep, we were learning at that point in time. You will find these types of posts, all over. Self taught motivated individuals, that learn through trial and error.

and if you look you will also find posts all over the internet from people who want "the next facebook" built for stupid amounts of money, not many people are so oblivious that they think that they can get most of it done for $300 though!

Well you've certainly got the motivation for it, I'll give you that. Good luck to you.

Re : People (including myself) being cynical :
I think the thing is that a lot of guys are concerned about putting bread on the table in a reliable way, and simply haven't got the time, or can't afford the risk, of getting involved with a venture such as yours. Maybe more people would actually love to give it a crack, but when they have rent and bills, the risk is too great.
I guess the trick is finding people that can afford the risk.

Bingo. We've learned to be cynical because we get a lot of enquiries from people who mistake us for venture capitalists. The vast majority of us are simply not wealthy enough to act in that capacity, so we've got used to suggesting (in more or less harsh terms, depending on the person asking and their attitude) that they source the necessary funding to engage us at market rates. The way we see it is, business angels and VCs are experienced in assessing the commercial viability of an idea, so we'd rather leave that up to them while we do what we're good at for the people the VCs and banks have assessed as viable. We might not get rich doing it but we make a living and we're working for our money rather than gambling.

I respect that. It really is, all about finding the right people with disposable income. Who you know. But, this is how you make contact with the ones that ARE interested. Just because this is a web designer forum, doesn't mean that the right people aren't paying attention. I respect not gambling. I work a full time job, and own 2 companies. 2-3 hours a sleep a night. I'm working for money, to put into myself.
