I was just wondering how youd go about creating the flash image on the homepage with the hover effects and links as well as the slideshow happening in the background.
Any links to some helpful tutorials etc would be great.

Well the easiest way to do it would be have the frame (that looks like a picture with the skis on the side etc) on a higher layer to everything else, and cut out the center so that you can see everything in the lower layers in the center,

then for the animation, on the lower layer you can create one big image of what to display and obviously move it round as and when you need (like animation), you can do that by main frames or in a movieclip, id prefer to put it in a movieclip as it'd keep it tidy,

and if you want to make it interactive with the user then you could just simply use a listener on the flash file and when theres movement detected on the actual flash file use actionscript to stop the animations until the user has finished and not moved for 2seconds or something along them lines :)

Cheers, its been a while since ive done any flash. Ill give it another go and see what i can come up with.
