I'm looking for a web-based email marketing solution to manage a new HTML newsletter I'm starting up to go with my site. Don't need much, clean, easy-to-use interface, plus a few stats would be nice. One key feature is the ability for subscribers to recommend the newsletter to friends easily and to track that. Looking to spend about a tenner a month - sending to about 5,000 subscribers.

I know about constant contact and vertical response, just wondering what everybody else uses. A UK company would be good.

Tx snider, looks good but I'd prefer a web-based option.

Found a good article here - http://web.appstorm....ewsletter-apps/ - so going to check through these options.

You want to use MailChimp. This is what we have started using now instead of own internal system we built. The data is amazing and you can sign up and use it for free.

With the free account you can:

Store up to 2,000 subscribers. Send up to 12,000 emails per month.

The data you get is brilliant to, How many bounces, who has unsubscribed, click performance within your email campaign and loads, loads more.
