Hi,

I have a domain.com in one hosting package.
I do not want to use this domain name anymore,
I want a different one but with the same hosting package.

Can I just direct the new domain to the root folder?
Can I have more domain names active and display the sites with the
same hosting ?

I would like to know this before I buy the name?

Thanks

César

Yep.

You need to set the nameservers on the domain to the nameservers your host will provide. This now means the domain is pointing towards your host.

You then create an 'Add On Domain' on your hosting package to tell your host you're the clever guy who wants it. You can choose where the domain points to (ie. Root folder) at this point.

Assuming you're using cPanel, it's a 2 minute job from purchasing to finish - but it can take several hours for the Internet to catch up.

Yes it can be done.. if you are using Cpanel Control panel its much easier.. Just change the nameservers of the second domain , same as your first domain and park the second domain from cpanel of main domain.

You can take a look at : http://www.webhost.u...el-x3-park.html for cpanel.
