I installed web matrix in light of recent NetTuts tutorials, had did this previously although that time it never broke the local server.
This time round, not sure exactly what the problem was but WAMP never seems to get fully enabled now.
Web Matrix installs an IIS server but in the process of installation it downloads other software (PHP, MySQL etc) to go with it.
This might not be the same for everyone, however there is very limited amounts of software installed on this machine and well it's the only thing that has changed before and after WAMP working fine.
Just a warning, be interested to see if anyone else has this problem.

Yeh just confirmed, uninstalled IIS Express 7.5 and re-opened WAMP, immediately it was running.
No doubt you could have them both running in tandem by enabling them one at a time... but for now that fixed it.
