Lev - it does seem to be quicker than 3.6 and also abit better than 4 but not that much better
Pandadoodle - sorry didn't see your post! but yeah i think it is all just bug fixes, but saying that i quite like the new interface it got in version4 so i can't really imagine that changing too much in the next few versions, maybe they will just go for upgrading it's speed and proformance and working on bugs, still my favourite browser atm though.

I missed that. I don't think Thunderbird gets updated as much as it used to thats why I've switched back to Mail, but I read up on a new mail client taking the mac by storm (can't find the link now) but i think its called spider or sphere or something...
I tend to use a browser capture to check cross platform these day, although its very rare I have to check that myself as I no longer do front end coding I only look after once the design is built to sign off on it, saves messing around with various browsers then again.. Safari, Firefox, Camino and Opera installed on here lol

I do agree, Online is a much better way as your data is always backed up and I guess most servers now days, especially cloud uses raid to duplicate data incase of harddrive failure. This is good

At the end of the day version number became meaningless long ago. It's up to the company to decide what version number to use no matter what changes may have taken place under the hood.
Every time Google changes a menu option in Chrome the whole browser jumps a couple of version numbers lol

Renaissance-Design - I seen about the CSS3 updates and maybe with the quicker releases we will see more support for the likes of HTML5 and CSS3 which can't be a bad thing!
Panda - I might have to start a new thread to see your views on these lol, but leave netbooks out of this they're great

Same here.
I'm on the Chrome developer channel anyway which would throw a spanner in the works any way!
