This question is less to do with Ecommerce software, as I'm designing a custom store where people can sign themselves up as a Member of my clients gyms.

The process will be roughly 3 steps:
  • Select Membership Type (from a dynamic list my clients can alter)
  • Enter Personal Details (which will be saved and downloaded to my clients)
  • Pay with Paypal / Defer Payment (I'll obviously need multiple pages depending on their choices)

My store is looking VERY plain and I got thinking I could have one of them progress bars which make it out to be "3 easy steps!"

Has anyone know of any templates for a progress bar, which highlights which step they're on and offers the ability to with the ability to go back (but not forward).

I guess it would have a class="on" depending on the current page but I'm no good with fireworks and reckon there might be open source templates out there. Or maybe some one can suggest something better to make my store pretty :)

Many thanks,
ian

Can you not just design the progress bar yourself? With images and highlight each icon as you reach that page? Or am I missing something here...

They're just a list - have a couple of classes E.g. step_complete, step_current, step_to_do etc.

I ended up copying 4 existing images with each step highlighted. I put my own text on in Fireworks and load each image seperately on my 4 different pages.

It looks great tbh, I suppose it's not as fast as JS where all would be loaded at once but my fireworks skills weren't good enough to cut out all the shapes :p

thanks though
