Afternoon all,

I'm in need of a good, thorough book or website where I can learn JQuery as it seems to be the word on everyones lips at the moment and I think I should start learning it.

Cheers people!

try these :

http://docs.jquery.c...ted_with_jQuery

if in doubt W3Schools is always a good place to start.

One more question, do I need to be able to hand code things from the top of my head or is it a case of copy and paste?

If I'm to say on my portfolio site that I use it (once I've learned it) is it enough to just find functions and copy and paste code?

Cheers again

Yeah of-course, but the more you do it the more you will learn, so you will start to hand code things naturally. Of course the functions you find on t'internet won't do exactly what you want them to do so they will require a bit of tinkering.
