I have recently started writing a load of tutorials, I started with a few basic Wordpress ones and moved onto WeBid. WeBid is an open source auction site script with loads of features. With it you can make a site thats almost as feature full as eBay and customised to whatever niche (if any) you want. Becuase Im new here I cant post a link yet but I will do soon, its already 4th on Google for 'webid tutorials' and will probably climb quickly as people link to it knowing its valuable info. Is it OsCommerce based? Magento or Presta? I mean which platform did you use to empower it?

WeBid is a script is pretty much a combination of eBay and BeeZid an online penny auction site. It is not powered by any of those scripts you listed, rather it is its own script. It is still in beta but has gained some fame even without a stable release.
