Hey guys! I need your help in this because I just can't think of a gaming logo for company called "Akihiro"...the Akihiro company is just like Capcom, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Midway etc. type of company. What gaming elements should I put in a Logo? I have no idea in this. So if there is any help / advice you can tell me so much the better. Hoping from your responses People!=D

I think the best fonts have no objects. Just thing of the big companies out there. SAMSUNG, CAPCOM, NINTENDO. The best logo's don't have items necessarily.

The very best logos take two things and bring them together in a witty fashion. More than two and you risk overcomplicating the logo. This could just be a font or with an icon. It's all about meaning and reflecting he brands values. The name doesn't help but what key values are they wanting to bring to the audience?

I don't think "witty" is the right word, the FedEx logo isn't exactly humorous.
I'm not a logo designer, but from what I've gathered from studying "the greats", It's about making your logo subtly distinctive and effective enough so the person remembers it at and your corporate identity at first site. A subtle art which can easily be spoiled with over-consideration. Logos are a massive part of any companies' identity. I can't really give you any advice about yours other than to keep it simple

1. Design it as a vector, so it can be sized however necessary.
2. Design it so it prints equally as well in greyscale as in colour.
3. If you use an icon, design it in such a way that the icon and text work as logos independently of each other.
4. If you use an icon, design multiple logos using the same icon and text, but arranged differently.
5. Don't use more than three colours. If you can, only use one.
6. Don't use a font which is in-illegible. It might look pretty but people need to read it.
