Hi, new to the forum. I have a website which uses paypal shopping cart. I have managed to manipulate the html to what I need but would like a more professional looking cart as I dont believe that many people trust paypal. I would like one that has can have many customer inputed options and also accept discount codes. I understand that some shopping cart software can also include affilate software but should I get sepperate software for this?
My website is curvesandcorsets dot com

Thanks for any help!
John

Hello John,

There are plenty of open-source carts you could look at for doing this. Things like Magento, OpenCart, ZenCart or TomatoCart should be able to give you the features and look that you are after.

Most ecommerce developers will have their own preferred cart to use so I am sure some of the members will be along shortly with their opinion on carts to use.

In the meantime if you want to look at some of the carts mentioned feel free to go via our website to see a list of the carts we support. You can hover over each logo for a brief description and then click to visit the cart website.

If you are also looking for an alternative Payment Gateway to PayPal then feel free to look at the Payment Solutions on our website. We offer some of the lowest payment processing rates in the UK with no compromise on service or security.

Kind regards,

Hello! I agree that the most of web developers have their own preffered carts. There are a lot of free ecommerce open source software that are quite good quality . You just neeed to choose the best according your skills. As example I work with PrestaShop, Zen Cart, Tomato Cart, VirtueMart, HikaShop, osCommerce, etc. All of them have own advantages and disadvantages. I am not going advice you the best. I have one suggestion read full information about software at official websites.

I would recommend Magento.. mainly because of the ability to bundle products, and its superb atribute system. If you want a quick run through, drop me a pM, I will walk you through a front and back end etc.

AJ Shopping Cart Software is the best & that well suits for you. It is the best user friendly, most affordable with the rich set of features to create your online store.

I use Magento and I recommend Magento. Steep learning curve if you're new, but worth your while in the end. Visit their main website for documentation and other resources if you decide to go for it. The forum support's (kinda) great (sometimes). =)

I have to suggest you Zen Cart is a best option for Shopping Cart for Small Busines.
With help of the admin control panel you can add products, change the layout of your site, and add informative text to your pages. To access the admin control panel, type www.yourdomain.com/admin into your browser and login using the user name and password you created during install. Now lets begin with the Zen Cart shopping cart for beginners.
