Hi, I've created a site hampshireufo.co.uk about UFO's. Its a commuminty site with forum,guest book, polls. Up coming features will be a classified section, chat facility etc.
I've got a FB site with the site url, I'm thinking about advertising the site in various magazines (ufo matrix, nexus), I've placed a ad on gumtree, and I'm going to produce some posters and advertise locally.
Can anyone else think what else I can do to generate traffic?

Get yourself list on some specific paranormal/conspiracy directories - http://www.ufoseek.com/ is a good one, has been around for years and its well established, I can remember using it back in the 90's!

Also look out for paranormal/ conspiracy Top sites, these are good for a steady stream of traffic, eg http://conspiracy.top-site-list.com/

You can offer to guest-blog on other websites that get a lot of traffic. You write a little bit of content for them in exchange for a link back to your website...everybody wins.

How about creating some shareable content my means of graphic facilitation or something? I found this blog post about visual facilitation and I found it to be an interesting marketing idea to explore.
