Sorry about posting another stock photo topic today! I have been scouring the web all day getting boggled by copyright legislation, extended licenses etc etc to find the cheapest paid stock image resource in order to keep my costs and pricing low. Major headache now!!
I came across Photl.com ... seem to have been around since 2009 but I haven't seen them mentioned anywhere so far, perhaps you have or do use them?
The site offers free images for non-commercial use, you can buy a commercial license for an image for $1 (even though they are based in London?) or cheaper if you buy bulk credits.
What I found interesting though, if not slightly confusing about it, is that in the 'legal information' section, it states that any image bearing a 'green banner stating that commercial use is permitted', you can use that image commercially, for free!? It appears as a little green tick on the image boxes and again as a green tick and the commercial permitted wording on the image page itself. Although it does not mention the green banner in the FAQs, only the legal info.
It might be worth taking advantage of it? Just thought I would share...
Thanks.
