PC
- IE 6.5, 7, 8 and 9 (however clients pay a premium to have IE 6.5 support and i refuse anything below that or Mac IE)
- Firefox 3.x and 4
- Chrome 10+
- Opera (Always on latest build)
- Safari (Always latest build)
Mac
- Safari (Always latest build)
- Firefox (Always Latest build)
Mobile
- iPad Safari
- Android (built in browser and Dolphin)
- Blackberry Browser
Even though i routinely check on these browsers, i 'm not that bothered by fails in older browsers or mobile devices (unless the client requests this). Lately i've had a lot of client requests for video etc with out Flash, so it seems internet users are slowly driving forward browser update progression.

Chrome should take a massive surge when the chromebooks are leased at $20 per month.

What is the source of this data? I am believing that less individuals are using IE but quite surprise with this result... Still higher than Chrome...

There are many resources which provide the data regarding the same topic but in my opinion and experience most of the people worldwide use Chrome , Firefox and IE mostly. I do use these all to but i have other browser's installed like opera and safari.
Thanks

Totally off topic, but your location made me laugh out loud: "NY (India branch)"

That's a bit different to the stats I saw recently. Can't remember where it was now but I'm pretty sure it was a reputable source.
Had IE as about 41% worldwide market share, with chrome and firefox around 25% ish (chrome inching ahead of firefox for the first time)

That is rather detailed, lots of version numbers included.

Why not? Less and less people use IE mainly because "there is always something wrong" with IE when making a website.

I think it's also down to your visitor base for your product / service. With standard corporate users on Windows and IE it's horses for courses. My stats for a project in January.
IE 44.61% (v8 > v9 > v7 > v6)
Safari 29.96% (Too many versions to bother writing)
Chrome 16.08%
Opera 0.40%
Throw in the middle a touch of Android and Moz compatible agent and you got a right mix. I test IE 7 & 8 XP (8 & 9 on Win 7), Opera, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and a few phones I got around the place.
If you code compliant then 98% (ish) of the time it'll work in all browsers with only a few pixel spacing issues.
Oh and as for Mac ... Pshhh get a PC

you only test on chrome so what about the masses of users on IE, FF, safari, Opera etc testing on one browser is a recipe for disaster

A nice little website that's worth checking out is: http://gs.statcounter.com/ - I'm not vouching for it's credibility, but I think that it shows quite an accurate trending snapshot.
