Hi,

I have just started a blog with blogspot.com. I have successfully created a subdomain with my hosting provider JustHost.com. I have tested the subdomain with a page and it worked fine. (page now removed)

Now I'm trying to display my blog onto my subdomain. I've followed all the instructions on blogger and when I press view blog it just shows the files on the subdomain. (ftp way of doing it no longer available)

I think something should be there on the subdomain that 'catches' the blog and displays it. This would normally be the index.html but I dont know what to put there for the blog - and blogspot are not very helpful! I'm hoping I'm just being dumb and all I need to do is.... XYZ.

Sorry to lack tech terms but I'm not sure what to do!

Also I don't mind if I have to change blogs to get it sorted - though I cant download wordpress - it doesnt like my windows vista computer! But thats another story...

So can anyone help with getting a blog to display on your main website domain or subdomain easily???

Ok everyone who looked at this post - and didn't reply ;-)

How do you display your blog posts on your website?

Answer:

A. RSS feed to a section somewhere on your website (how?)
B. just a simple link (so your visitors have to leave your site)
C. You intergrated Wordpress (how?)
D. Inline frame
C. None of the above (explain please)

Where I have put (how?) its because I havn't yet looked into it yet (and it confuses me a little :blush1: )

C. I did pretty much the same as you - created a sub domain and uploaded the files to the right directory.

You usually see a list of files if there isn't an index page to display. Check the files through your FTP client, can you see an index.php or index.html file in your sub-domain directory?

Thanks I had found that (blogger tutorial) a few weeks ago - but its out of date now as blogger has removed the ftp option.
So *shrugs*

Oh and I would do Wordpress blog but I have windows OS and apparantly its a headache with file permissions etc.

But I do have an idea....

Which if it works I will post it on here in a few weeks (due to time constraints)
