Hi everyone,
I’m not sure if I’m in the right place or even asking the right question. I’m pretty much a rookie at this. Also, it’s quite a long question, so apologies in advance.
Anyway, here goes. We are a small guest house in the highlands of Scotland. Fairly recently we decided to freshen up our web presence and have a professional company redo our website and it’s not bad so far.
We wanted them to do a booking calendar page linked to e-commerce software, rather like a shopping cart but for rooms. But to make it user friendly we wanted to have this calendar and our 4 rooms all on one page, so they could see “at a glance” what was had available.
The guests would click the dates and room or rooms they wanted then go to the next e-commerce page, they would get a text resume of their booking and then go through the credit card process.
They have now said that having the calendars all on one page is not feasible, but could put them on individual pages for each room, which we think is quite clumsy and clunky.
So, does anyone think this is feasible and how could it be done?
Many thanks in advance.

Sounds messy.. I would start with an e-commerce package and then integrate the calendar system.. as Magento is our thing we would install this along side your website and use a booking / reservation extension to handle purchases
something like

Hi there,
I've booked a room in Ireland few weeks ago and they had a booking calendar. Here is their webpage: http://www.bbbenrue.com/Booking.html
Is it something like this you would like? It seems that the booking system provider is Webreserv, here is their Webpage: http://www.webreserv.eu
I hope this info will help

Looks good, but that's expensive in my eyes. Am surprised by the overall cost of all magento plugins tbh :|
