Previously, one of the main concerns was that page load times were putting customers off but I think broadband speeds are now generally high enough to make it feasible.
Our new website is www.image-street.co.uk which will give you an idea of what I am talking about.
There seems to be loads of other companies offering the same service and i just wondered what people thought about it?

I like it, but I guess it's still pretty much a niche thing. How many things do you need to see in 360 degrees? For clothes, companies like ASOS use video which gives 360degrees and movement as well and it loads faster.

And my opinion is that due to trends introduced by companies like Apple with the minimalistic approach, coupled with society being increasingly fast paced and time poor - this type of service is probably not going to be in a great demand?
I would probably be happy seeing 4 pictures of a product instead of having to click and drag and spin the product round and round to see all 4 sides.

Industry standard prices start at about £20-£25 for a basic flash animation. Going on site depends on geography and quantitiy involved and whether we have affiliated photographers nearby so costs obviously vary. Usually, we get the stuff sent to us.

In view of what works 360 here is snip from a YouGov Pol.
'A recent YouGov pol showed that 58% of consumers are put off buying a product due to poor quality imagery. 41% of Consumers find 360-degree image rotation useful when buying fashion products and 37% for consumer technology. Internet business relies on good product imagery'.
You can see some our work at 3D Studio.
If any of you have a technical questions I would be more than happy offer any advice.

We are 360 solution provider. We supply both the equipment and software to automate 360 image production and publication process - you may want to check it out here: www.orbitvu.com.
I agree that 360 was for long time around, and until now it did not get vast popularity. I think at least for several reasons:
- 360 was always too heavy - which is changing now a bit as BW speed get faster, but still anything more than 1MB may not be acceptable
- 360 spin only is not what people expect - when I buy anything online, I lack the experience of having the product in my hands. 360 spin is just a bit closer to this experience, but not enough as you still cannot see the details. Canon is good example how to improve 360 adding close-up to product details.
- the only standard way to show 360 was Flash until it got unfashionable within industry thanks to iPad/iPhone, which lack Flash support
- the cost of 360 is usually higher
What we are trying to do is to solve at least some of those issues. First of all we provide automated solution to reduce time needed to create 360 spin. Our 360 viewer is dynamic and zoomable, which means you can have both: spin and detailed zoom without page loading time penalty. The viewer is compatible with Flash and iPad/iPhone world.
