Hi,
I was quite keen to have a go at using @font-face as I was currently using images to display non-standard fonts. By using Paul Irish's Bulletproof @font-face syntax I managed to get the font to display on all browsers.
However, the font-rendering was rather ugly, as though there was no anti-aliasing taking place. The font I am trying to use is chunkfive, after checking the live demo on font-squirrel it confirms that this font doesnt seem to render well in any modern browser.
However, I found another site showing the same font rendered using cufon and the results were ALOT better. Am I to assume some fonts render better than others using font-face, whereas with cufon your more likely to get the desired result?
I know cufon is a bit more complicated, but will certainly be looking into this further.

Im not too savy on how cufon works (I only know how to apply it). It could be that the font smoother only get applied to certain types of font formats and leaves the svg's fonts (which cufon gets turned into) alone. Again, I could be totally wrong. its just my best guess.
