Microsoft said:

Internet Explorer 9 is available only on PCs running Windows.

I'm sorry, but that's just not good enough these days.
I'm not going to bother trying it, I'll just assume it's just yet another addition to my every day workload with CSS; thanks to Microsoft.

IE9 beta already processes a lot of CSS3 HTML5 features and promises more in the final version, see

I don't like it, There are a lot of websites which some JavaScript functions do not work and pages do not load up.

Hopefully once the beta is stable this will be ironed out but i wouldn't bank on it!

Even worse, it's only available for Vista and Windows 7. So all of the workplaces, schools, councils, etc... that are still running XP systems won't be able to use it either.

Pretty sure I was reading on Micro****e's website that 9 does support opacity and border-radius. Although they are still lagging behind at least things will start to look nicer and will be even more reason to stop using images and start using CSS.

I don't support IE6 unless the environment specifically requires it, and I'll be pushing IE9 along with the other latest browsers once it's released this month.

If they insist on using IE then at least I can try and get them to use 9. No doubt MS will push advertising, hopefully as hard as before with their 8 second adverts on telly!
