Ok i am devloping a website for a client. This is my first project for someone that i don't know in person. I need images of their company for the site and was wondering, do i get them to provide me with the images i need for the site???

Yes. If they cannot supply images and you think they are integral to the design then source some appropriate stock images and charge them to the client.
