Hi guys,

As you may have seen from my thread in the website reviews and feedback section I have been designing a banner for a charity. I made use of some free for personal and commercial use silhouettes to make the design as professional as I could.
Would it still be ethical/appropriate to show the banner on my portfolio website knowing that the silhouette graphics were created by a 3rd party?

regards,

A

If the images are licensed for commercial use (stock art) then it's generally accepted that their inclusion in a design can be credited to the designer (you). So yes, it's fine. If you're still unsure check the license.

Thankyou Rogan, I thought it was probably ok, just wasnt sure if that kind of practice was frowned upon or anything.
