It seems I'm obliged to give an SEO company FTP access into one of my sites though I dont want them to (see thread http://www.webdesign...emarketingcouk/).
Can I make particular add on private i.e. with seperate password so they cant get into rest of my server/sites? I usually upload thru deamweaver as thats just the way I learnt/taught myself so dont really understand how others gain access?

Do you have cPanel installed on your server?
If so, it's pretty simple - log into cPanel, click FTP Accounts (under Files category), and create a new user.
Make sure to specify the path to the specific folder that your add-on domain is hosted in. You can then delete this user once the SEO company is done.
